Essential Eligibility Criteria (Pharmacist)
- Mandatory Score: Candidate must have appeared in UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET 2025) and possess a valid scorecard with positive marks.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized institution and must be registered with the State Pharmacy Council, Uttar Pradesh.
- Preferential Qualification: 2 years of service in the Territorial Army OR ‘B’ Certificate of NCC.
- Age Limit (as of 01-07-2026): Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 40 Years. Age relaxation applicable as per UP Government rules for reserved categories.
Written Examination Scheme & Syllabus
The examination will consist of one question paper containing 100 Questions to be solved in 2 Hours (120 Minutes). There is a negative marking of 1/4 (25%) for every wrong answer.
In-Depth Pharmacy Syllabus (Part-1)
The subject knowledge level will be of Diploma in Pharmacy. Key topics include:
- Pharmaceutics: Acids, bases, buffers, aerosols, respiratory stimulants, quality control, etc.
- Pharmacognosy: Laxatives, cardiotonics, anti-hypertensives, antitussives, etc.
- Biochemistry & Clinical Pathology: Carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, enzymes.
- Human Anatomy & Physiology: Scope, skeletal system, cardiovascular, respiratory, CNS.
- Health Education & Community Pharmacy: Nutrition, first aid, microbiology, epidemiology.
- Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence: Pharmacy Act 1948, Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940, Poison Act.
- Pharmacology & Toxicology: Route of administration, chemotherapy, disinfectants.
- Drug Store & Business Management: Inventory, sales, training, banking.
- Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy: Sterilization, formulation, drug information services.
How to Apply Online
- Go to the official website upsssc.gov.in.
- Login using your PET 2025 Registration Number and OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.
- Fill in the educational details including your Pharmacy Diploma and Council Registration number.
- Upload or check the pre-filled PET 2025 photo and signature.
- Pay the processing fee of Rs. 25/- online.
- Take a printout of the final application form for future reference.
