Short Information: Engagement of Teaching Staff
The Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for a Walk-in Interview for the positions of Assistant Professor (on short-term engagement basis) and Guest Faculty. These positions are for various specializations across Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Ayurvedic Pharmacy, Clinical Research, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, and more. Interviews are scheduled from August 18, 2025, to September 2, 2025. Candidates must check the detailed schedule and eligibility criteria before attending.

Remuneration Details
Assistant Professor (Short Term Appointment) Rs. 89,435/- per month (Not eligible for any other allowance, pension, gratuity etc.)
Guest Faculty (Honorarium) Rs. 1500/- per lecture (Subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month. Not eligible for any other allowance, pension, gratuity, and leave etc.)

Eligibility and Educational Qualifications

Assistant Professor on Short Term Engagement Basis

Specialization Qualification
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Essential Qualification:
  • First Class B. Pharm as well as in Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with Ph. D degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience from Institute of national/International repute.
Pharmaceutics Essential Qualification:
  • First Class B. Pharm as well as in Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics with Ph. D degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience from Institute of national/International repute.
Pharmaceutical Analysis Essential Qualification:
  • First Class B. Pharm as well as in Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis with Ph. D degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience from Institute of national/International repute.
Pharmacology Essential Qualification:
  • First Class B. Pharm as well as in Master’s degree in Pharmacology/Pharmacology & Toxicology with Ph. D degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience from Institute of national/International repute.
Pharmaceutical Management/International Trade Management Essential Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline preferably in Pharmacy with First Class.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration OR Management/PGDM/CA/Pharmaceutical Management with First Class.
  • Minimum one year teaching experience from Institute of National/International repute.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Ph. D in subjects related to Pharmaceutical management.
Ayurvedic Pharmacy Essential Qualification:
  • First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ Ayurveda/ Pharma or equivalent.
  • First Class Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Ayurveda or allied subject with Ph. D in Ayurveda or allied subjects.
  • Minimum One year of teaching experience from institute of National/ International repute.
Biomedical Sciences Essential Qualification:
  • First class Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences /Biomedical Sciences & Engineering / Computational Science/ Life Sciences / Chemistry/ Genetics/Pharmacy / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Toxicology/Microbiology / Bio Statistics/ Statistics/ from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • First Class Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences & Engineering / Computational Science/ Life Sciences / Chemistry/ Genetics/ Pharmacy / Biochemistry / Biotechnology/ Toxicology / Microbiology / Bio Statistics / Statistics/ Medical Microbiology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Medical Biochemistry/ Molecular Medicine and Biotechnology from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • The National Eligibility Test (NET) from UGC/ICMR/CSIR/DBT/DST or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test SLET/SET) shall remain the minimum eligibility for appointment of Assistant Professor.
  • Ph.D. Degree exemption: Candidates with a Ph.D. Degree awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET, subject to fulfilling specific conditions (regular mode, two external examiners, open viva voce, two research papers with one in refereed journal, two conference papers).
Clinical Research Essential Qualification:
  • First Class in Master’s degree in Clinical Research with Ph.D. degree in any of Pharmacy/Clinical Research subjects.
  • Minimum one year of teaching/research/industrial experience from Institute/ Research/ Laboratories/ Industries of National/International repute.
Physiotherapy Essential Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (B.P.T/B.P. Th/B.Th.P).
  • Master degree in Physiotherapy (M.P.Th/M.Th.P./M.Sc.P.T/M.P.T.) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from recognized University.
  • Minimum one year teaching experience from Institute of National/International repute.
Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Essential Qualification:
  • First Class Bachelor Degree in Science/ Medical Artificial Intelligence or equivalent.
  • Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Medical Artificial Intelligence or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year teaching experience from institute of National/ International repute.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Higher qualification like Ph.D in Medical Artificial Intelligence recognized by UGC.
  • Published work of high standard in peer-review or UGC Journal.
Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Essential Qualification:
  • Basic degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Master’s degree in Pharm. Biotech/Pharmaceutics/IP/QA/RA/Pharm. Tech along with Ph.D. degree in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
  • Minimum one-year experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent in Pharm. Biotech.
  • Candidates with 5 years significant experience from Industry/ Profession and Professional work with first class Master’s Degree in pharm. Biotech will be considered in lieu of Ph.D.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Research Publications in the relevant field.
Executive M. Pharm Essential Qualification:
  • Basic degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics / Regulatory Affairs along with Ph.D. degree in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
  • Minimum three-year experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent in Drug Regulatory Affairs.
  • Candidates from Industry/ Profession with First Class Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics / Regulatory Affairs and professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph. D degree and with 5 years’ experience would also be eligible.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Research Publications in the relevant field.
Drug Regulatory Affairs Essential Qualification:
  • Basic degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics / Regulatory Affairs along with Ph.D. degree in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
  • Minimum one-year experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent in Drug Regulatory Affairs.
  • Candidates from Industry/ Profession with First Class Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics / Regulatory Affairs and professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph. D degree and with 5 years’ experience would also be eligible.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Research Publications in the relevant field.
Communication Skills Essential Qualification:
  • First class in Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Master’s in English language with teaching experience of communication skills.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Ph.D. desirable.
  • Minimum one year teaching experience from Institute of National/International repute.
Computer Applications Essential Qualification:
  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in Computer Applications from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Ph.D. desirable.
  • Minimum one year teaching experience from Institute of National/International repute.
Yogic Sciences Essential Qualification:
  • Good academic record, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master’s degree in Yoga or any other relevant subject, or an equivalent degree from an Indian/foreign University.
  • Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET, OR have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016.
  • OR
  • A Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) and a Ph.D. Degree in Yoga in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016.
French Language Essential Qualification:
  • Master’s degree in French language from a recognized University or Institution.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in French language from a recognized university.
  • One-year experience in teaching or translation from French language to English or Hindi or vice-versa.

Guest Faculty Qualifications (Specific)

Biomedical Sciences Essential Qualification:
  • First class Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences /Biomedical Sciences & Engineering / Computational Science/ Life Sciences / Chemistry/ Genetics/Pharmacy / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Toxicology / Microbiology / Bio Statistics/ Statistics/ from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • First Class Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences & Engineering / Computational Science/ Life Sciences / Chemistry/ Genetics/ Pharmacy / Biochemistry / Biotechnology/ Toxicology / Microbiology / Bio Statistics / Statistics/ Medical Microbiology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Medical Biochemistry/ Molecular Medicine and Biotechnology from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Health Care & Hospital Management Essential Qualification:
  • MBBS/BDS/B.Pharm/BUMS/BAMS/BHMS/B.Sc.(N)/B.P.T with first class degree.
  • Post Graduate Degree like M.D/M.D.H or other equivalent post-graduate degree in medical sciences with specialization in public health/health management or allied subjects or M.Pharm./M.P.T with Ph.D in public health/Health Management or allied subject.
  • Minimum one year teaching experience from Institute of National/International repute.
International Trade Management Essential Qualification:
  • First Class Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline preferably in Pharmacy.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration OR Management/PGDM/CA/Pharmaceutical Management with First Class.
  • Minimum one year teaching experience from Institute of National/International repute.
Desirable Qualification:
  • Ph. D in subjects related to Pharmaceutical Management.
Physiology Essential Qualification:
  • MBBS, MD Medical Physiology or M.Sc. (Medical Physiology) Ph.D. Medical Physiology.
Sociology Essential Qualification:
  • Ph.D., MA Sociology.
General Medicine Essential Qualification:
  • MBBS, MD/DNB (General Medicine).
Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery Essential Qualification:
  • MBBS, MCh Cardio-Surgery.
Paediatrics Essential Qualification:
  • MBBS, MD/DNB (Paediatrics).
Microbiology Essential Qualification:
  • MBBS/MD Microbiology.

General Instructions for Applicants

Point Detail
1. Nationality Only Indian Nationality candidates are eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit (Upper)
  • Faculty on Short Term Appointment: UR – 40 years, SC – 45 years, ST – 45 years, OBC (NCL) – 43 years. (Age relaxation as per Govt. norms).
  • Guest Faculty: 69 years (maximum engagement till 70 years of age).
  • Age will be reckoned on the date of walk-in interview.
3. Certificates for OBC (NCL) Certificates issued by GNCTD only will be considered.
4. EWS, SC, ST Categories Terms and conditions issued by the Government will be followed.
5. Application Process
  • Candidates must attend the walk-in interview with the filled-in application form (downloaded from the website).
  • Bring original proof of date of birth, educational qualification, experience certificates.
  • Bring a set of photocopies of all certificates/documents and 2 passport size photographs.
  • Application form must be filled digitally. All columns must be filled; “N.A.” for not applicable. Manually written applications (except forwarding note) will not be considered.
6. Incomplete Applications Applications without relevant supporting documents (self-attested copies of DOB, Degrees, Mark sheets, Experience Certificates, etc.) will be rejected.
7. TA/DA No TA/DA and accommodation will be provided for attending the Presentation/Personal Interview.
8. Mode of Selection Consists of Presentation/Personal Interview or both. Candidates are advised to visit the University website dpsru.edu.in regularly. Candidature is provisional and can be rejected if eligibility norms are not met or incorrect information is furnished.
9. University Rights The University reserves the right to withdraw/modify the advertisement, increase/decrease posts, or change terms and conditions without assigning any reason. Any corrigendum/addendum will be published on the University’s website.
10. Recruitment Rules Guidelines as per DPSRU Act, 2008 and Statutes as amended, and reservation policy for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) and EWS as per Govt. norms will be followed.
11. Experience Certificates Must be in proper format, on organization letterhead, bearing date of issue, specific period of work, name, designation, and signature of the Administration Authorities.
12. Physical Fitness No person will be recruited unless physically and mentally fit.
13. Adherence to Rules Selected candidates must abide by DPSRU Rules, Regulations, Ordinances, Statutes, and Act.
14. Fake Degrees/Certificates Degrees/diplomas/certificates from institutions declared fake/de-recognized by UGC/AICTE/PCI will not be eligible.
15. Dispute Resolution English version of the advertisement prevails. Disputes are subject to the sole jurisdiction of Courts in Delhi only.
16. Canvassing Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
17. Testimonials Candidates must produce original testimonials at the time of Presentation/Interview. Certificates are subject to verification before joining.
18. Joining Period Selected candidates must join the post immediately (within 7 days). No extension permitted.
19. Multiple Posts Those appearing for more than one post must bring separate applications for each post.
