Banaras Hindu University is pleased to inform you that based on your normalized score obtained in the concerned subject in the CUET (PG) 2023 conducted by the NTA, you can now register on the University’s Admission Portal http://bhuonline.in for participating in the ONLINE COUNSELING process for the provisional admission to various post-graduate program(s). You are advised to check your eligibility, if you are going to register, as per the PET Information Bulletin–2023 of the University. Please check your eligibility by referring to BHU PET Admission Bulletin 2023. Applicants are informed that individual Call letters will not be issued to any applicant(s) for the PG courses for the academic session 2023-24. The counselling will be done in online mode only. The following steps are mandatory tocomplete the online counselling process:

The candidate will have to Register on the Registration portal which will be available from 27th June 2023 to 16th July 2023 (Please see the help file on the portal and the video/s in order to familiarize yourself with the registration form.)
A. The candidate must register on the Banaras Hindu University admission portal (http://bhuonline.in/) by first ticking the instruction box i.e. reading the detailed instructions and then clicking New Registration and filling up NTA Application No. and other details (See the detailed instructions/video for filling up the registration form). Candidates will be required to fill in their email id and create a password to activate their registration account.
B. After the registration, the candidate will log in on the Registration portal, fill in the required details, and upload all the essential documents. There are 7 Stages on the left-hand side which the candidate has to fill out carefully namely: Applicant’s Details, Educational Details, Programme Select, Upload Photo and Signature, Document Upload, Bank Account Details, Preview and Confirm {Fill in all the Descriptions, Check the status as Completed}
C. The candidate will be required to upload the following documents pdf/jpeg format):

  1. Matriculation or its equivalent certificate so as to ascertain the date of birth.
  2. Mark sheet of 12th examination.
  3. Graduation Mark sheet (Candidate has to make a single file of marks sheet of all semesters and then upload the same as single document. They have to upload marks sheet of all semesters. In case the final marks sheet is not available, they must submit marks sheets for the first four semester for 3 year degree program and first six semesters for four year degree program), failing which their candidature will not be considered.
  4. Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and income certificate (SC/ST) issued by the appropriate authority, if admission is sought under that category.
  5. PwD Certificate, if applicable.
  6. BHU Employee certificate, if applicable.
  7. Certificate if admission under sports quota is claimed
  8. Scanned copy of recent colour photograph
  9. Scanned copy of the candidate’s signature

Important Notes:
(i) At the time of REGISTRATION, if applicable, it is ESSENTIAL to upload category certificates (OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwD) documents. Candidate is strictly instructed that No undertaking / Affidavit in lieu of these documents will be accepted for admission if a candidate is claiming any of these categories.
(ii) If required, the candidates are allowed to edit their registration form before proceeding for payment. No change will be permitted once the final payment is made.
(iii) The candidate will pay a non-refundable registration fee at the rates mentioned in the following table

(iv) The Registration window will reopen after the publication of CUET result by NTA for three days and it will be mandatory for the candidates to upload their Score card of CUET (PG) 2023 then. If they do not upload the Score Card of CUET after publication of result their candidature will not be considered.
(v) Preference Entry Page will open ONLY when the non –refundable registration fee is paid. Candidate has to fill preference entry separately for all the programs/locations chosen by him/her.
A. Candidate has to fill up the preference entries through the BHU student registration portal only during the declared period of registration i.e. from 27 th June 2023 to 16 th of July 2023.
B. At the time of preference entry only one PG Program (Programs in case the candidate is eligible for and is filling up preference for more than one PG
program) and Program’s location is to be chosen.
C. On opening the registration portal, the Preference Entry icon will appear on the dashboard. The candidate will:
(i) Select the concerned PG Course against the selected program and University/college location. University preference reflects the following location (where a given course is taught) BHU Main Faculty;Mahila Mahavidyalay (MMV); RGSC (Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, BHU), Arya Mahila PG College, Chetganj (AMPGC), DAV PG College (DAVPGC), Vasanta College for Women (VCW), Rajghat, Vasant Kanya
Mahavidyalaya (VKM), Kamachha. Out of these, BHU Main Faculty, RGSC and DAV PG College (DAVPGC) are co-educational whereas other colleges are exclusively for girl students.
(ii) He/She has to fill the preference in the order of his/her choice. Candidates are advised to fill as many locations as possible from Main Faculty, MMV, RGSC and other colleges (AMPGC/DAVPGC/VCW/VKM) to get chance of admission in the university.
(iii) Candidate must ensure that the preference entry page is properly filled. If he/she finds any error or wants to make changes in the filled choices then he/she has to edit the process with the help of the option provided on the dashboard.
(iv) Candidate has to fill the preference entry for all the selected programs separately.
(v) Candidate must submit the Preference Entry Form after preview
(vi) Candidate is advised to get a printout of the registration form for his/her records.
