Position Details
Name of the Post	Lab Technician (Zebra Fish Facility)
Number of Posts	01 (One)
Nature of Appointment	Purely on Temporary and Contractual Basis (under the Animal house facility)
Consolidated Emoluments	Rs. 25,000/- per month
Tenure of Appointment	Initially for a period of 6 months, extendable subject to satisfactory performance.
Age Limit (as on 16.09.2025)	32 years. Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with higher qualifications and/or experience with prior approval.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Educational Qualification	B. Pharm / Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent degree from a recognized University / Institution.
Desirable Qualification & Experience	Minimum 1-year experience in zebrafish husbandry and maintenance, including experimental work using laboratory animal models.
Job Requirements / Responsibilities	Daily management of zebrafish. Management of records. Other routine activities of the facility.

Walk-in Interview Details & Application Process
Date & Time	Tuesday, September 16, 2025, reporting at 02:00 PM. Candidates reporting after 02:30 PM will not be considered for the selection process.
Venue	Seminar room 34, Second floor, Main Building, IISER Pune, Dr. Homi Bhabha Road, Pune 411008.
Documents to Bring (Originals & One Set of Self-Attested Photocopies)	Duly filled prescribed application form (Link to download the same is available below advertisement link on IISER Pune website). Certificate regarding date of birth. Mark sheets and certificates (from 10th onward) pertaining to educational qualifications. All certificates regarding experience as mentioned in the application form. One Photo Identity Proof (Government issued). One recent passport-size color photograph.

The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in IISER Pune. The appointment will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency applicable to the project. The prescribed date for determining the upper age limit, educational qualifications or experience shall be the date of walk-in interview. All educational qualifications should be obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions. Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not guarantee selection. The Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates for the interview based on qualifications and experience. Candidates are advised to mention all qualifications and experience in their application. The number of posts may vary depending upon requirements during the selection process. If a selected candidate does not join or resigns, waitlisted candidates may be offered the position. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview. No interim enquiries / correspondence will be entertained. Any attempt to influence the selection process (political or otherwise) will lead to disqualification.
