About the Institute

The Regional Institute of Education has been providing critical academic and technical support to the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The institute focuses on improving educational standards through various pre-service and in-service programs.

However, with the establishment of the North-East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE) in Shillong in 2015, certain programs have been transferred to NERIE, thereby focusing the efforts of the Bhubaneswar institute on other regions.

Job Details

Position: Pharmacist

• Number of Posts: 01 (One)
• Type of Engagement: Walk-in Interview for Contractual Basis
• Duration: One year from the date of joining or until the regular incumbent joins the post, whichever is earlier.
• Salary: Rs. 42,000/- consolidated per month

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

1. Educational Background:

   • 10+2 or equivalent.
   • Diploma in Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an AICTE approved institution.

2. Registration:

   • Registered as a Pharmacist under Section 31 or 32 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, excluding clause (d) of Section 31.

Desirable Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Pharmacist or Compounder in a reputable or recognized organization.

Age Limit

• Candidates should be between 21 to 32 years of age as of the date of the Walk-in Interview.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

Core Duties

• Compounding and Dispensing:

  • Prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions.

• Medical Store Management:

  • Maintain the medical store, ensuring that inventory is up-to-date and organized.

• Operation Theatre Support:

  • Assist in the operation theatre as required, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.

• Medical Statistics:

  • Maintain records of medications and services provided for statistical purposes.

• Emergency Services:

  • Provide support during accident and emergency services as needed.

• Additional Duties:

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the competent authority, including attending emergency duties on holidays.
