The HPSC invites applications for the Lecturer in Pharmacy position under the Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana. Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the Lecturer in Pharmacy position, candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pharmacy with First Class either in the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized university or institution.

2. Language Requirement

  • Candidates must have proficiency in Hindi or Sanskrit at the Matriculation level or higher education level.

3. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 42 years (as of the application closing date, November 27, 2024)

4. Age Relaxation

  • SC/BC-A/BC-B Candidates of Haryana: 5 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
    • An additional 5 years of relaxation is granted, with further conditions for specific categories under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  • Women: Specific age relaxations apply to unmarried, widowed, or judicially separated women.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation is calculated as the duration of military service plus an additional three years.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of three stages:

  1. Screening Test (if applicable):

    • Type: Objective-type MCQs
    • Total Questions: 100
    • Duration: 2 hours
    • Total Marks: 100
    • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer awards 1 mark; 0.25 mark deducted for each incorrect answer. Leaving more than 10% of questions unanswered will incur additional deductions.
    • Medium of Exam: English
    • Purpose: The screening test is for shortlisting candidates and does not count toward the final selection.
  2. Subject Knowledge Test:

    • Duration: 3 hours
    • Total Marks: 150
    • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 35% to qualify for the interview.
    • Weightage in Final Selection: 87.5%
  3. Interview/Viva-Voce:

    • Weightage: 12.5%
    • Final Merit Calculation: The final merit list will be based on combined scores from the Subject Knowledge Test and Interview.

Note: Candidates must attend all stages. Absence at any stage, including the interview, will result in disqualification.


Salary Structure

  • Pay Scale: ₹9300 – ₹34800
  • Grade Pay: ₹5400 (Functional Pay Level)
  • Total Compensation: Includes allowances and benefits as per Haryana Government norms.

1. Registration

  • Register on the HPSC website to create a login ID.

2. Fill the Application Form

  • Complete the form by entering all details accurately and uploading required documents.

3. Application Fee Payment

  • Fees are payable through Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.

4. Print and Sign

  • Once the form is completed and submitted, download and print the application form. This printed copy, signed, must be kept for future reference.

5. Application Fee

  • General (Male): ₹1000
  • General (Female): ₹250
  • SC/BC-A/BC-B/ESM/EWS of Haryana: No Fee
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): No Fee

Note: The application fee is non-refundable, and candidates are encouraged to check eligibility thoroughly before applying.

  1. Photograph: Recent passport-sized photo, signed by the candidate.
