Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar has released an advertisement (No. 01/2025 to 12/2025) for the recruitment of various non-faculty positions through online mode. Age Relaxation Applicable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Ex-servicemen as per Government of India rules and DoPT Office Memorandum No.15012/2/2010-Estt(D) dated 27th March, 2012. Departmental candidates may be eligible for relaxation up to five years.
Essential Educational Qualification & Experience (Pharmacist)
  • 10+2 in Science (PCB/PCM) subjects from a recognized Board or University.
  • 2 Years Diploma with First Class from an Institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India with minimum two years experience in any recognized hospital or pharmacy.
    OR
    Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma.)
  • Registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.

Probation Period: 1 Year for direct recruits as per NIT Statutes.

Method of Recruitment: 100% Direct recruitment.

Selection Process for Pharmacist

Stage Description
Stage I – Screening Test A Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Part-A (30 questions) will cover General English, Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Science. Part-B (30 questions) will be post-specific (Pharmacy). The test duration will be 75 minutes, with 1/4th negative marking for wrong answers. A minimum of 18 marks (30%) is required to qualify.
Stage II – Skill Test This will be a qualifying test designed to assess the practical knowledge of Pharmacy and Computer Proficiency. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 30% marks to qualify.
Stage III – Final Test A Computer Based Test (CBT) comprising 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on the post-specific (Pharmacy) syllabus. The test duration will be 75 minutes, with 1/4th negative marking for wrong answers. The total marks obtained in this stage will determine the final merit for selection. A minimum of 18 marks (30%) is required to qualify.
Document Verification Candidates must produce original documents to verify their eligibility before appearing in Stage III.
Merit List The final merit list will be based on the total marks obtained by the candidate in Stage III (Final Test).

  • Numerical Aptitude Arithmetic: Simplification of Fractions, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Averages, Number System, Time and Work, Problems on Trains, Calendar, Area, Problems on Numbers, Square root, Cube root, Time and Distance and Other Basic Arithmetic related problems.
  • Reasoning and Data Interpretation: Number Series Compilation, Missing Number finding, Pattern series, Direction Sense Test, Series Compilations, Classification, Missing Character finding, odd man out, Blood relations, Analogy, Coding & Decoding, Letter & Symbol Series, Verbal reasoning, Statements & Conclusions, Logical Problems, Arithmetic Reasoning, Logical Sequence of Words, Pie Chart & Bar Chart.
