Notification for Exit Examination for D. Pharma and B. Pharma 2024 by Assam Govt

In pursuance of Assam Govt. Notification No. MER. 206054/786 dated 07-11-2023 published in the Assam Gazette No. 509 dated 08-11-2023, it is for information to all concerned that all candidates who pass out from Institutions not affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) in the state including those from private Universities of the state as well as other eligible candidates who have passed out from institutes/Universities outside the state shall have to pass an EXIT Examination to be conducted by SSUHS. Only those candidates who pass the EXIT Examination shall be eligible for Registration under the respective State Council. In accordance with the above Regulation, SSUHS will hold the EXIT Examination for D.Pharm and B. Pharm separately on 21st April, 2024 for the following candidates:

a. Diploma Pharmacy holders:
All candidates who have passed D. Pharm course upto 31st December, 2023 from colleges/institutes recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated to Universities/Examination Authorities other than SSUHS including those from private Universities of the state as well as other eligible candidates who have passed out from Institutes/Universities outside the state shall have to pass an EXIT Examination to be conducted by SSUHS to become eligible for Registration under Assam Pharmacy Council.

There shall be 1 (one) paper consisting of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Questions shall be from PCI prescribed Diploma in Pharmacy course syllabus.

A candidate shall be declared as having passed, only if he/she obtains a minimum of 50% marks in the EXIT Examination. There shall be no relaxation of marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories including PwD (Divyang).

The Examination will be conducted in Centres of Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar & Kokrajhar Zone depending on the number of Zone wise applicants.

The Examination fee to be paid by the candidate will be Rs. 1500/(non-refundable) for each candidate.

If the information furnished by the applicants in the Application Form is found to be false/incorrect, he/she will be liable to legal proceeding by SSUHS.

b. B. Pharm Degree holders
All candidates who have passed B. Pharm Degree course upto 31st December, 2023 from colleges/institutes recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated to Universities/Examination Authorities other than SSUHS including those from private Universities of the state as well as other eligible candidates who have passed out from institutes/Universities outside the state shall have to pass an EXIT Examination to be conducted by SSUHS to become eligible for Registration under Assam Pharmacy Council, There shall be 1 (one) paper consisting of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Questions shall be from PCI prescribed Bachelor in Pharmacy course syllabus.

A candidate shall be declared as having passed, only if he/she obtains a minimum of 50% marks in the EXIT Examination. There shall be no relaxation of marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories including PwD (Divyang).

The Examination will be conducted in Centres of Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar & Kokrajhar Zone depending on the number of Zone wise applicants.

IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the applicant to furnish all information correctly. Any information given by the applicant if found to be false or any in eligibility criteria detected at any stage later on, shall make him/her liable to be disqualified from the Examination with all its associated legal consequences.

The candidates will not be allowed to bring mobile phones and other electronic gadgets in the Examination Centre premises.
