Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) – Project Research Associate-I (RA-I) Position

The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the position of Project Research Associate-I (RA-I). This opportunity is part of a research project funded by the International Cooperation Division of DST.

Research Project Details:

• Title: Development of Piezoelectric Enabled Nanocomposite Integrated Microfluidic Platform for Self-Powered Devices
• Principal Investigator: Dr. Bhanu Prakash, Scientist D (Assistant Professor)
• Number of Positions Available: One

Qualifications & Experience:

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or an equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, or related fields. Alternatively, candidates with 3 years of research, teaching, design, and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech, with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal, are eligible.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in microfluidics and/or COMSOL/ANSYS for flow simulations is preferred.
• Age Limit: Must not exceed 35 years as of 03.09.2024. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Fellowship and Project Duration:

• Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- per month plus 8% HRA
• Project Duration: Initially for one year, with a possible extension for another year based on performance.

Special Opportunity:

This international project may offer the selected candidate the chance to participate in fully funded research trips to Malaysia and the Philippines for more than 10 days each, subject to the approval of competent authorities and visa availability.

General Terms and Conditions:

• The position is temporary and on a contractual basis, co-terminus with the project.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
