Detailed Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications (Essential)

Required Academic Background
Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; AND Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent.

Required Academic Background

2. Desirable Qualifications & Skills

Preferred Experience & Expertise
Experience in virology field and working under BSL3 virology lab. Experience in influenza biology and virology assays (encouraged to apply). Alternatively, experience in genomics (NGS, RNA seq, ATAC-seq, single cell RNA seq etc.) and ability to design analysis pipelines and collaborate with wet lab. Candidates who have submitted/are writing their PhD thesis and awaiting viva are encouraged.

Preferred Experience & Expertise

Experience in virology field and working under BSL3 virology lab.
Experience in influenza biology and virology assays (encouraged to apply).
Alternatively, experience in genomics (NGS, RNA seq, ATAC-seq, single cell RNA seq etc.) and ability to design analysis pipelines and collaborate with wet lab.

Remuneration Details

Salary and Benefits
Monthly Emoluments	Rs. 42,000/- per month
House Rent Allowance (HRA)	27% HRA (as per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)

Job Description & Core Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Required Knowledge
The Senior Project Associate will be responsible for: Conducting experiments related to immunogenicity and efficacy studies of flu vaccine candidates in the NHP-ABSL3 facility. Performing various viral assays, including HAI, MN, ELLA, etc. For candidates with bioinformatics expertise, analyzing genomics and proteomics data generated during the project.

The selected candidates will be on a contractual basis for one year or the duration of the project, whichever is shorter. No hostel/housing facility will be provided by the institute. In addition to the prescribed application format, candidates must send a complete Curriculum Vitae (CV), including experimental expertise and list of publications, along with the names of three referees.
