In a recent plea to the director general of the Andhra Pradesh Drugs Control Administration (APDCA), the Andhra Pradesh Pharmacists Confederation (APPC) brought attention to a worrying pattern of the state’s lacklustre enforcement of laws against retail drug stores that break the law. The President of the APPC, Dr. Singanamala Suman Modi, has stressed in a lengthy letter how urgently the DCA must step in to address the widespread illegal practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
