About the Role:
The Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board (UKMSSB) is seeking to fill 73 vacancies for the position of Pharmacist (Allopathy). Selected candidates will be appointed to various government-run medical institutions across Uttarakhand. Pharmacists will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising healthcare professionals, and educating patients about proper usage and side effects.

Diploma in Pharmacy (Allopathy):
Candidates must have a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution. -
Uttarakhand State Pharmacy Council Registration:
Candidates must be registered with the Uttarakhand State Pharmacy Council before the last date of submission. If a candidate fails to meet this requirement, their application will be rejected.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years (as on 01 July 2024)
- Maximum Age: 42 years (as on 01 July 2024)

Job Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacist (Allopathy) in a government medical institution, your core responsibilities will include:

Dispensing Medications:
Accurately dispensing prescription medications to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to prescriptions and dosage instructions. -
Providing Patient Advice:
Educating patients about their medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, storage requirements, and any dietary restrictions that may apply. -
Collaborating with Healthcare Providers:
Assisting doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in choosing the appropriate medications for patients. This may involve verifying drug interactions and ensuring the safety of medication use. -
Maintaining Records and Stock Management:
Ensuring that pharmacy inventory is well-maintained, tracking expiry dates of medicines, and managing stock levels to ensure adequate supplies. -
Ensuring Compliance:
Adhering to state and federal regulations regarding the storage, distribution, and prescription of controlled substances. Maintaining accurate records as per the standards set by the Uttarakhand Medical Service.

The Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board (UKMSSB) will prepare a merit list based on the marks obtained in the Diploma in Pharmacy examination. -

In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference in the merit list. -
