National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) Recruitment 2025: Vacancies for Pharmacists, Staff Nurses & Medical Officers

Short Information
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) invites applications for various contractual posts on a fixed honorarium basis. These temporary positions include Medical Officer (Full-time & Part-time), Staff Nurse (Female & Male), ANM, and Pharmacist. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to refer to the detailed advertisement and apply as per the instructions. The application period is from August 26, 2025, to September 11, 2025. Direct walk-in interviews are scheduled for Medical Officer positions on September 10, 2025.

Qualification & Experience Details
  • Medical Officer (Full-time/Part-time):
    • MBBS Degree from a recognized university.
    • Maharashtra Medical Council Registration is mandatory.
    • Experience in relevant field from Government/Local Body/Trust/Private Institutions is required.
  • Staff Nurse (Female/Male):
    • 12th Pass and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Diploma or B.Sc. Nursing Course passed.
    • Maharashtra Nursing Council Registration is mandatory.
  • ANM:
    • 10th Pass and ANM Course passed.
    • Maharashtra Nursing Council Registration is mandatory.
  • Pharmacist:
    • 12th Pass + D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) or B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy)degree.
    • Maharashtra Pharmacy Council Registration is mandatory.
  • General Educational Qualification for all posts: Must have the prescribed educational qualification mentioned in the advertisement by the last date of application. Qualifications must be from a government-recognized university/institution.
Age Limit (as on the last date of application)
For Unreserved Category 38 years
For Reserved Categories 43 years
For Medical Officer (MBBS, Specialists, Super Specialists) Up to 70 years (Requires Physical & Mental Fitness Certificate from District Surgeon if above 60 years)
Candidates should calculate their age (days, months, years) accurately as of 26/08/2025.
Selection Process
  • Medical Officer (Full-time & Part-time): Selection will be based on a Direct Walk-in Interview.
  • Staff Nurse, ANM, and Pharmacist: Selection will be based on a merit-based grading system.
  • Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and submit complete applications will be considered for the selection process.
How to Apply
  • This is an OFFLINE application process.
  • Candidates for Medical Officer (Full-time & Part-time) must attend a direct Walk-in Interview on September 10, 2025. They must report between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM for registration, original document verification, and interview.
  • Candidates for Staff Nurse, ANM, and Pharmacist must submit their duly filled application form (and 5th point in section ‘क’) along with all necessary documents by hand or courier to the specified address from August 26, 2025, to September 11, 2025, excluding public holidays.
  • Application Address (for Staff Nurse, ANM, Pharmacist, and all general correspondence):
    Medical Officer, Health Department, 3rd Floor, NMMC Headquarters, Plot No. 1, Sector 15-E, Kille Gaothan, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai 400614.
  • Applications received after September 11, 2025, will not be considered. Applicants must ensure timely delivery for courier/postal applications.
  • Applicants must accurately fill in all details in the application form and attach self-attested copies of required documents.

    1. Age Proof (10th Marksheet)
    2. Educational Qualification Marksheets & Certificates
    3. Council Registration Certificate (As Applicable – e.g., Maharashtra Pharmacy Council for Pharmacist)
    4. Experience Certificates from Govt./Semi-Govt./Private Institutions
    5. Caste Certificate (for Reserved Categories)
    6. Domicile Certificate
    7. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)
    8. Aadhaar Card
    9. PAN Card
    10. Recent Photograph
    11. Marriage Registration Certificate & Gazette (for name change, if married)
    12. Small Family Declaration Certificate (Affidavit)
    13. No Criminal Record Declaration (Affidavit)
General Instructions & Important Notes
  • All posts are purely contractual for a period of 6 months and are not regular government positions.
  • The remuneration mentioned is a consolidated fixed honorarium.
  • Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official NMMC website (nmmc.gov.in) for all updates, instructions, and list of eligible/ineligible candidates related to this recruitment. No individual communication will be made.
  • The appointment will be at Primary Health Centers (PHCs) where vacancies exist. Appointed candidates must join within 7 days of receiving the appointment order.
  • NMMC reserves all rights to postpone, cancel, modify the recruitment process, change the number of posts, or reject any application without assigning any reason. No claim will be entertained in this regard.
  • Candidates having more than two children after July 23, 2020, are not eligible for these posts as per the Small Family Norms.
  • Candidates should apply in the prescribed format available on the NMMC website.
  • Any attempt to exert undue influence will lead to disqualification.
