About the Central University of Himachal Pradesh

The Central University of Himachal Pradesh was established under the Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) enacted by the Parliament. Funded and regulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the university started functioning on January 20, 2010. It was part of a national initiative announced by the Prime Minister in 2007, aimed at establishing central universities in states that lacked them. The act led to the establishment of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh among others.

Essential Qualifications

To apply for the Pharmacist position, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:

   • 10+2 in Science stream from a recognized Board/University.
   • Diploma in Pharmacy (2 years) with 3 years of experience as a Compounder/Pharmacist in a reputed dispensary or hospital.
     OR
     Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (4 years) with 2 years of experience as a Compounder/Pharmacist in a reputed dispensary or hospital.
     OR
     Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (2 years) with 1 year of experience as a Compounder/Pharmacist in a reputed dispensary or hospital.

2. Registration:

   • Registered with the Pharmacy Council of India or the respective State Pharmacy Council.

Note: Experience will be counted from the date of registration with the Pharmacy Council of India/State.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 32 years (as of the last date of application).
• Age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India rules.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Level: Level-5 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Additional benefits as per Central Government regulations.

1. How to Apply:

   • Applications must be submitted online via the official recruitment portal: CUHP Recruitment Portal.
   • Ensure all eligibility criteria are met before applying.
   • Scan and upload all necessary documents, photographs, and signatures.

2. Application Fee:

   • UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS: ₹1750 (₹250 processing fee + ₹1500 examination fee).
   • SC/ST/PwD/Women: ₹1500 (examination fee only).
   • Note: Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

3. Important Dates:

   • Start Date for Online Applications: November 22, 2024
   • Last Date to Apply: December 22, 2024

General Instructions

1. Multiple Applications: Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications and fees.

2. Eligibility Verification: Eligibility criteria (age, qualifications, category) will be verified as of the last date of application (December 22, 2024).

3. Reservation: Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) must produce certificates as per Government of India formats. Candidates from other states applying under reserved categories will be treated as unreserved (UR).

4. Incomplete Applications: Applications without the required documents, fee, or signatures will be rejected.

5. Selection Process:

   • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Test/Skill Test/Interview.
   • Shortlisting will be done by the Screening Committee, and the decision will be final.

6. Posting Locations: Selected candidates may be posted anywhere within the jurisdiction of the university.

7. Document Verification: Originals must be presented during verification after the written test/skill test.

Special Points

1. The Pharmacist role is a crucial non-teaching position aimed at strengthening the university’s healthcare infrastructure.
2. Candidates will be governed by the National Pension Scheme (NPS) applicable for organizations established on or after January 1, 2004.
3. The university reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment process without prior notice.
