Job Overview:

The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, under the National Health Mission (NHM), is inviting applications for the Pharmacist post. Selected candidates will work in government healthcare facilities across Ranchi under NHM programs. Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medications as per prescriptions issued by authorized medical practitioners.

• Ensuring the availability and stock management of essential medicines in healthcare centers.

• Maintaining accurate patient medication records and stock registers.

• Providing counseling and guidance to patients on drug usage, dosage, and side effects.

• Coordinating with medical staff and assisting in the procurement of pharmaceuticals.

• Following standard pharmacy regulations and government policies.

• Ensuring compliance with Jharkhand Pharmacy Council registration requirements.

• Handling emergency medicine supply and ensuring good storage practices.

• Participating in training programs and health awareness campaigns under NHM.

• Working in a team with doctors, nurses, and health workers to provide efficient healthcare services.

Educational Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) from a Government-recognized institute.

• Registration Requirement:

  • Must be registered under the Pharmacy Council of Jharkhand.

• Technical Skills:

  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Internet usage) is required.

• Age Limit (as of 31-03-2021):

  • General (UR): Maximum 35 years

  • EWS: Maximum 35 years

  • ST/SC: Maximum 40 years

  • EBC/BC-I/BC-II: Maximum 37 years

  • PwD (Persons with Disabilities): Additional 5-year relaxation

  • Health Department Employees with 3+ years of experience: Additional 3-year relaxation
