A. Master’s Degree Route: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field, including:
B. Bachelor’s Degree Route: Bachelor’s degree in the same fields mentioned above. |
| Experience Requirement |
Experience must be in the manufacturing, testing, regulation, or designing of medical devices.
Note: Qualifications and experience are relaxable at the discretion of UPSC for otherwise well-qualified candidates, especially from SC/ST communities. |

| Probation Period | Two (02) years for direct recruits. Includes a mandatory induction training of at least two weeks. |
| Headquarters | Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), FDA Bhawan, New Delhi. |
| Other Details | The post is Permanent, classified as General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial). The officer may be posted anywhere in India. |
