Pay Scale & Age Limit
Pay Level	Level-08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Group	General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
Age Limit	30 years for UR/EWS candidates. 33 years for OBC candidates. 35 years for SC/ST candidates. 40 years for PwBD candidates. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.
Probation Period	Two years for all appointees.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications
Essential Qualification (A) Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering or technology field with a focus on medical devices. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (e.g., Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) with two years of experience in manufacturing, testing, or regulation of medical devices. Desirable Qualification (B) Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering / Clinical Engineering /Biomaterial Technology / Medical Technology. One year of experience in manufacturing, testing or research in the field of Medical Devices. Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC. Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering / Clinical Engineering /Biomaterial Technology / Medical Technology.
One year of experience in manufacturing, testing or research in the field of Medical Devices.
