Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an academic institution established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO as a Category II Centre. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu. In 2016, RCB was recognised as an Institution of National Importance by the Parliament of India.
Title of Project: Nanogel-mediated Gene Editing (CRISPR/Cas9) Technologies to Improve Crop Protection against Bacterial Leaf Blight in Rice.
Duration: Initially for one year, and can be extended on annual basis.
Age Limit: Below 35 Years
Essential Qualifications: MSc/MTech in Life Sciences / Biotechnology /Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/Bioinformatics/Genomics/Animal/Chemistry/Pharmacy or any other any related subject, and National level JRF eligibility test such as NET, GATE, etc. qualified.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Chemistry, purification, molecular biology, biochemistry, protein isolation, Confocal microscopy, gene editing techniques, or mammalian cell culture, chemical synthesis. Candidate who has 1 year research experience of working in a relevant area with expertise will be preferred. Candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and a team player with good interpersonal skills.
