Recruitment for Pharmacist Grade III & Other Posts 2025: Important Notice on New Exam Pattern

Short Information

The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) has issued an important notice (Memo No. 941/HFW-53024/8/2025-SEC(HRB)(HFW)) regarding a change in the selection process for various posts, including Pharmacist Grade III, advertised on 07.08.2025. The board has decided to conduct a Computer Based Test (CBT) for shortlisting candidates for the interview round. The marks distribution has been revised, and no separate marks will be allotted for ‘Qualification’ and ‘Experience’ in the shortlisting process.

New Selection Process & Marks Distribution

Important Note: It is explicitly mentioned that no marks will be further allotted for ‘Qualification’ and ‘Experience’ as mentioned in the original advertisements for the purpose of shortlisting for the interview.

Pattern & Scheme of Computer Based Test (CBT)

CBT Examination Details
Total Questions	50 Questions
Marks per Question	2 Marks
Total Marks of CBT	100 Marks
Negative Marking	0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Exam Duration	60 Minutes (1 Hour)
Marks Scaling	The marks obtained by a candidate out of 100 will be scaled down to be out of 85. Formula: Marks out of 85 = (Actual marks obtained out of 100) x 0.85
Normalization	If the CBT is conducted in multiple shifts, marks will be normalized to ensure fairness.
