Project Title: Identification and characterization of novel long non-coding RNAs in AKI-toCKD transition using CRISPR/Cas9-based epigenome editing: Revealing the potential of the long non-coding RNAs as a biomarker and therapeutic strategy

Co- Investigator: Dr. Syamantak Majumder, Department of Biological Sciences
Project Tenure: 36 Months
Job Description: The candidate will carry out the proposed work of the project. He/She will validate the in-vitro and in-vivo model of AKI-CKD transition, perform the gene editing using CRISPR-CaS-9 gene editing tool and carry out the molecular biology experiments and data analysis. Well versed with animal handling, invitro work, molecular techniques, and gene edition tool.
Qualification: M. Pharm/M.S. Pharm in Pharmacology
Desirable: GPAT qualified
Upper Age Limit: Age not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 year for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.
Fellowship: 31,000/- (initially first two years) and Rs 35,000 (afterward till the end of the project) per month
Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time PhD program at BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.
