Job Title: Research Associate
Education: Master’s degree in a life sciences discipline (MVSc /M. Pharm/ M.Sc.)
Experience: 0-3 years

Mandatory expectation for all roles as per Syngene safety guidelines
1. Overall adherence to safe practices and procedures of oneself and the teams aligned
2. Contributing to development of procedures, practices and systems that ensures safe operations and compliance to company’s integrity & quality standards
3. Driving a corporate culture that promotes environment, health, and safety (EHS) mindset and operational discipline at the workplace at all times.
4. Ensuring safety of self, teams, and lab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace.
5. Ensure all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self
6. Compliance to Syngene’s quality standards at all times
7. Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals
8. Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time

Core Purpose of the Role:
As a Study Personnel – Toxicology:
1. Involved in GLP in vivo toxicology studies; acute, repeat dose and reproduction.
2. Assist in day to day activities and maintenance of laboratory as per internal SOP.

Role Accountabilities:
1. Assist Study Director for the conduct of study.
2. Animal handling, dose administration and animal care.
3. Assist to maintain the highest regulatory standards (GLP and AAALAC recommendations) during any activity conducted in the facility.
4. Assist for preventive maintenance of instruments.
5. Preparation of experiment conduct protocols to the Institutional Animal Ethics committee.
6. Verify data generated during study.
7. Assist in preparation of study plan.

Skills and Capabilities:
1. Good understanding and hands on Experience of toxicology.
2. Good knowledge of GLP and Animal handling.
3. Candidate working in or have relevant experience in contract research organization will be preferred.
