The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has activated the online application portal for the Paramedical Categories (CEN No. 05/2026). For all aspiring pharmacy candidates, selecting the Cat. 5 Pharmacist (Entry Grade) post requires careful attention to educational details and state pharmacy council registration. Below is the in-depth, step-by-step complete process to successfully submit your application without errors.

Important Note: Candidates who have already created an account for any CEN issued by RRB in 2024, 2025, or 2026 are not required to register again. You can log in using your existing Username and Password.

1. Initial Registration & Account Creation

Step 1: Create an Account / Login
Official Portal Access Visit the official RRB Apply portal via indianrailways.gov.in or directly go to the RRB application portal. Click on “Apply” -> “Create An Account”.
Personal Information Enter Country of Nationality, Full Name (as per 10th marksheet), Date of Birth, Gender, Father’s Name, and Mother’s Name. (All entries must be re-typed for confirmation).
Aadhaar Verification Click on “Verification Through Aadhaar Card”. If you do not have an Aadhaar, select “I Do Not Have Aadhaar Card” and provide alternative ID proof (Digilocker verification is also available).
Contact Details & Password Enter active Email Address and Mobile Number. Generate and enter the OTP for both. Create a strong password (capital letter, small letter, special character, numbers).

2. Application Initiation & Zone Selection

Step 2: Selecting the RRB Zone & Category
Login to Dashboard Use your registered Mobile Number/Email and Password to log in. Under “Online Application”, select CEN 05/2026 Recruitment of ParaMedical Categories.
Select RRB Zone Choose the specific RRB Zone you wish to apply for (e.g., Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Kolkata, Mumbai, etc.) from the dropdown menu. Note: You can apply to only one RRB zone.
Declarations Check the boxes confirming you are not debarred by any RRB/RRC and that you have read the CEN thoroughly. Click “Next”.

3. Personal, Community & Other Details

Step 3: Candidate Profiling
Personal Details Select Marital status, Religion, Mother Tongue, and Choice of Language for Examination (Available in 13 regional languages besides Hindi and English).
Identification Marks Provide two distinct Permanent visible marks of identification (e.g., A mole on the right cheek).
Community & Address Select your Community (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS). Fill out your Present and Permanent Postal Address completely including District, State, and Pincode.
Category Details (Other Details Tab)
  • Specify if you are an Ex-Serviceman or PwBD (Person with benchmark disability).
  • EBC Details: Claim Economically Backward Class fee concession if eligible (Requires valid certificate during DV).
  • Bank Details: Enter Aadhaar seeded Bank Account details (Account Number, IFSC) for the refund of examination fee.

4. Crucial Step: Educational Qualification for Pharmacist

This is the most critical section for Pharmacy aspirants. You must add your qualifications in sequential order.

Qualification Level Required Details to be Filled
1. Matriculation / SSLC (10th) Enter Roll No, Certificate Serial Number, State, District, Board Name, Date of Passing, and Percentage. Click “ADD”.
2. 10+2 or Equivalent Select Discipline/Subject as “Science”. Fill in passing details and click “ADD”.
3. Pharmacy Degree / Diploma Add your Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Allopathic) or Diploma in Pharmacy. Enter University/Institute name, Date of passing, and Percentage. Click “ADD”.
Mandatory Registration Question You will be asked: “Are you registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948?”
You MUST select “Yes” to be eligible for the Pharmacist post.

5. Document Upload Specifications

Step 5: Photograph & Signature Uploads
Applicant’s Colour Passport Photograph
  • Must be captured with a plain, uncluttered (preferably white) background.
  • Dress in NON-WHITE clothing to maintain contrast.
  • No cap, mask, or glasses/spectacles allowed.
  • Can be uploaded via PC or by scanning the QR Code to capture a live image from your mobile phone.
Applicant’s Signature
  • Sign on white paper with Black ink pen within a box of 50mm x 20mm.
  • Must NOT be in BLOCK/CAPITAL letters.
  • File size: 30KB to 49KB (JPG/JPEG format).
  • Dimensions: 50mm x 20mm or 140 x 60 pixels.

6. Post Preference & Final Payment

Step 6: Submission & Application Fee
Post Selection In the “Eligible Post(s) to apply” section, click the (+) icon to select (Cat. 5) CR PHARMACIST (ENTRY GRADE). This will move it to your Order of preference box.
Declarations Check the box: “I have exercised and checked my order of post preference…” and tick the final declarations regarding eligibility and sharing scores. Click “Preview Application”.
Fee Payment
  • General / OBC Candidates: ₹500.00 (Refundable ₹400 after CBT).
  • SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / EBC: ₹250.00 (Fully refundable after CBT).
Proceed to click “Pay with SBIePay”.
Final Submission The final submission of the online application will happen only after successful payment. Save the PDF receipt and application form for future reference.
