Project Research Scientist – I (Medical)
  • Essential Qualification: Candidates must hold an MBBS, BDS, BVSC, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BNYS, B.Sc. Nursing, BPT, B.Pharm, Pharm.D or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
  • Required Experience: A minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in clinical project management and/or clinical trial/study monitoring is essential. This experience should be gained in a recognized organization/institute such as a hospital, academic clinical trials unit, CRO, pharmaceutical, or medical device company.
Data Entry Operator
  • Option 1: A Graduate degree in any discipline combined with a computer diploma and 2 years’ experience in a reputed organization as a data entry operator/computer operator/assistant.
  • OR
  • Option 2: An Intermediate/ 12th pass with a computer diploma and 5 years’ experience in a reputed organization as a data entry operator/computer operator/assistant.
  • Additional Requirement: Candidates must demonstrate a typing speed of not less than 15000 key depressions per hour through a speed test on computer.

Job Profile and Responsibilities

Project Research Scientist – I (Medical)
  • Responsible for overseeing clinical trial sites from initiation to closeout, ensuring full compliance with study protocols, ICH-GCP, applicable regulations, and internal SOPs.
  • Conduct various monitoring visits (on-site and remote), including initiation, routine monitoring, and closeout activities.
  • Ensure that all trial sites adhere strictly to regulatory, protocol, and GCP requirements.
  • Execute risk-based monitoring and promptly escalate any site issues or protocol deviations.
  • Verify informed consent processes and subject safety protocols are aligned with ethical standards.
  • Monitor timelines for Adverse Event (AE) / Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reporting to ensure regulatory compliance and escalate delayed submissions to the pharmacovigilance team.
  • Review source documents and Case Report Forms (CRFs) to verify data accuracy and consistency through Source Data Verification (SDV).
  • Ensure appropriate management and meticulous documentation of the investigational product (IP).
  • Maintain all essential trial documents in strict accordance with ICH GCP and local regulations.
  • Prepare detailed monitoring visit reports and efficiently manage action items identified during visits.
  • Provide support for regulatory and ethics submissions, patient recruitment efforts, and resolution of data queries.
  • Offer comprehensive training to site personnel on study protocols, GCP, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure timely delivery and proper handling of all study supplies and investigational product.
  • Monitor quality metrics and assist in the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure site readiness for both internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
Data Entry Operator
  • Primarily responsible for error-free data entry and efficient management of data within defined timelines.
  • Maintain organized documentation and provide support with data filing, printing, or scanning as required.
  • Participate actively in training sessions related to the utilization of electronic data capture (EDC) systems and study protocols.
  • Assist in resolving data queries in close coordination with the site staff and central data management team.
  • Support periodic quality checks and audits of entered data to ensure accuracy.
  • Report any missing or unclear information to the data manager or site staff for timely clarification.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all entered data and ensure timely completion of data entry tasks.
  • Review and meticulously verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency against source documents.
  • Ensure strict data confidentiality and secure handling of patient information at all times.

  • Proficiency in using clinical trial systems such as EDC (Electronic Data Capture), CTMS (Clinical Trial Management System), and eTMF (electronic Trial Master File) for tracking, documentation, and communication.

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to assigned trial/study sites by eligible modes of travel.

Data Entry Operator
  • Ability to keep track of reports and provide efficient support in the extraction of data.
  • Capable of assisting the data management team in any other data-related or clerical tasks as assigned.
  • Prior experience in clinical data entry or working in a healthcare/research setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel); experience with data entry software or EDC systems is a definite advantage.
  • Demonstrated good typing speed with high accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must exhibit a team-player attitude.
  • Ability to model behavior and ethics in line with the CDSA Mission and Vision.

  • These are short-term positions, and any extension will be granted solely based on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent and the tenure of the project. Appointed candidates will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.

  • The experience requirement specified must be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications for the respective post.

  • The age limit, qualification, experience, and other requirements may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority in cases of otherwise suitable candidates.
  • Age and other relaxations are provided as per government norms for various categories: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10-15 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), up to 5 years for Central Government servants, age relaxation for Institute employees based on service rendered, and for Ex-servicemen.
