Essential Qualifications & Experience Criteria

Pharmacist

Salary: As per MMDSL Norms
  • Education: Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) from a recognized institution or related field.
  • Registration: A valid Registration with the relevant State Pharmacy Council is a MUST.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar field. Prior experience in a pharmacy, preferably in a management position, would be advantageous.
  • Competencies: Full understanding of Pharmacy operations. Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure.
Biomedical Associate

Salary: As per MMDSL Norms
  • Education: Diploma in Biomedical Waste Management, Biological/Biochemical Sciences, Environmental Science, or similar preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in biomedical waste management.
  • Competencies: Comprehensive knowledge of segregation, handling, storage, treatment, and disposal practices. Highly computer literate.

Scope of Work for Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities (Pharmacist)
  • Dispensing & MTM: Accurately prepare/dispense medications. Perform Medication Therapy Management (MTM), especially for chronic condition patients.
  • ADR Reporting: Monitor patient responses and report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) to authorities.
  • Inventory Management: Carry out periodical physical verification. Maintain accurate records of incoming/outgoing stock, expiry dates, and controlled substances.
  • Counseling: Provide clear guidance to patients on dosage, timing, side effects, drug interactions, and lifestyle changes.
  • Procurement & QA: Ensure correctness in quality/quantity of vendor materials. Prepare periodic medicine forecasts and indents based on consumption.
  • Coordination: Liaise with District Warehouses of MMDSL and healthcare professionals. Coordinate recall of defective/expired medicines.
