Pharmacist Recruitment: Opportunities for Ex-Servicemen

Short Information
The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is inviting applications for the contractual engagement of Pharmacists at various Polyclinics. This recruitment is primarily for Ex-Servicemen. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications along with attested photocopies of required documents.

Interview Documents Required Original copies of certificates must be carried on the date of interview for verification.
Remuneration Details
Pharmacist (Per Month) Rs. 28,100/-

Eligibility Criteria for Pharmacist

Basic Qualification
Essential Qualification (Option 1) B. Pharmacy from a recognized Institute.
Essential Qualification (Option 2)
  • 10+2 with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) from a recognized Board. AND
  • Approved Diploma in Pharmacy from an Institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
Work Experience & Age Limit
Minimum Work Experience Three years of experience.
Age Limit (For Employment) 56 years
Age Limit (For Contractual) 58 years* (*Amended vide Gol, MoD letter No 22(72)/2017/WE/ID(Res-I) dt 18 Dec 17).

General Instructions & Conditions

Key Terms and Conditions
  • The contractual employment will be for a period of one year (April to 31 March), subject to review of conduct and performance.
  • Contractual employees are not entitled to any allowances, financial benefits, or concessions admissible to Government employees.
  • Detailed terms and conditions can be checked at ECHS Cell, Station Headquarter, Delhi Cantt-110010 (Phone No 011-25694821 & Mobile No 8448198118).
  • Working Hours: 48 hours per week (8×6) from Monday to Saturday, with Sunday as a holiday (for staff less Ser 1 to 2).
  • Leave: Admissible 2.5 days for every completed month. Accumulated leave lapses after six months.
  • Termination of Services: Contract can be terminated by either side with one month’s notice.
  • Candidates previously employed in ECHS whose services were terminated or not extended for the second year need not apply.

How to Apply
  • This is an OFFLINE application process.
  • Candidates must submit a complete Application Form.
  • Attach self-attested photocopies of all required Academic, Professional, and Work Experience certificates, along with Medical Council Registration, PAN Card, Residence/Address proof, and one passport size photograph.
  • Submit the complete application by the specified deadline (refer to the latest advertisement for current dates) to ECHS Cell, Station Headquarter, Delhi Cantt.
  • Original documents must be brought for verification during the interview.
Sequence of Documents Required (One set of Photocopies)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • 10th Certificate
  • 12th Certificate
  • Graduation Certificate
  • Diploma / Degree
  • Attempt Certificate/year wise mark sheets for passing MBBS/BDS (If applicable)
  • Valid Medical / Dental Council Registration Certificate
  • Valid Driving License for LMV / HyVehs (for drivers only)
  • PPO, Discharge Book, ESM I/Card (For ESM only)
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • Experience Certificate (as applicable)
  • No Objection Certificate from current employer (if applicable)
(All documents to be attached duly self attested)

Medical Fitness Certificate

A medical fitness certificate is required, certifying that the candidate is physically & mentally fit to perform their duties in ECHS Polyclinic. This certificate also confirms the candidate’s age as on 01 Apr (upcoming year).
