Public Health Manager NHM Job for B Pharma

The National Health Mission (NHM), Jalgaon District, is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the contractual position of Public Health Manager under the Urban Health Mission (NUHM). The vacant posts are for the following locations: Amalner, Bhusawal, Chalisgaon, Chopda, and Pachora. This recruitment is on a contractual basis until 29/06/2025, with an opportunity to contribute to public health management in some of Jalgaon’s key urban areas.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential Qualifications: MBBS or Graduate in Health Sciences. The acceptable degrees include BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, B.P.Th, Nursing (Basic/P.B.BSc), B.Pharm.
  • Additional Qualifications: Candidates with MPH (Masters in Public Health), MHA (Masters in Health Administration), or an MBA in Healthcare Administration will also be considered.
  • Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience. Prior experience in public health management or working with government or semi-government organizations under the National Health Mission will be considered during the selection process. However, private work experience will not be counted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and overseeing health programs under the NUHM framework.
  • Managing resources, coordinating with the healthcare workforce, and facilitating the smooth functioning of healthcare activities at the local level.
  • Ensuring effective delivery of healthcare services to the urban population.
  • Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to ensure that public health initiatives are on track.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The positions are purely contractual, with no guarantee of permanence in government service. The appointment is valid until June 29, 2025.
  2. Candidates are required to complete the application form perfectly in the given format. Incomplete or incorrect forms will lead to disqualification.
  3. If the positions are disapproved by the Central or State Government, the contract will be terminated without prior notice.
  4. Candidates with a grade system in their mark sheets must provide photocopies of both sides of their mark sheets. If the candidate has appeared for supplementary examinations, they must attach all related mark sheets.
  5. Candidates can only apply under one category. If a candidate applies under multiple categories, the application of the reserved category will be accepted, and the open category application will be rejected.
  6. Applicants from the open category must submit a demand draft of ₹150/-, while candidates from reserved categories should submit ₹100/- payable to “District Integrated Health & Family Welfare Society, Jalgaon.” The candidate’s signature should be on the back of the demand draft.
  7. Selection will be based purely on merit. If any undue influence is exerted on the selection process, the candidate will be disqualified.
  8. Applicants should have no criminal record.
  9. The upper age limit for the post is 38 years for open category candidates and 43 years for reserved categories. For MBBS candidates, the upper age limit is 70 years, and for other patient-care-related posts, it is 65 years.
  10. Consolidated remuneration is provided, and no additional allowances will be paid.
  11. Candidates must attach a receipt of payment for the registration certificate or renewal from the relevant council to avoid disqualification.
  12. Experience gained under Government or Semi-Government sectors, as well as the National Health Mission, will be considered during selection. Experience in the private sector will not be accepted.
  13. Applicants with more than two surviving children will not be eligible to apply, as per the government’s directive dated 23/07/2020. Candidates must attach the small family affidavit along with their application.
  14. Applications should be submitted during office hours from 09/09/2024 to 18/09/2024 in person or by post to National Health Mission, Health Department (New Building), Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  15. Selection will be made based on the merit list, which will be published on the Zilla Parishad Jalgaon website zpjalgaon.gov.in.
  16. The National Health Mission reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts, cancel the recruitment process, or change the terms and conditions at any time. All rights rest with the Hon. Chief Executive Officer, G.P. Jalgaon.

Merit List Criteria:

A merit list of candidates will be prepared according to specific criteria based on educational qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors. The merit list will be displayed on the Zilla Parishad Jalgaon website. No personal communication regarding the merit list will be made via phone, email, or newspaper advertisement.

  2. Educational Qualification Certificates (10th, 12th, Graduation/Post-Graduation Mark Sheets)
  3. Caste Certificate (for reserved category candidates)
  4. School Leaving/Date of Birth Certificate

  6. Small Family Affidavit (mandatory for all candidates)
  7. Demand Draft (₹150/- for open category, ₹100/- for reserved category candidates)
  8. Registration Certificate of Respective Council
